Safety Policy

Petra Holdings is committed to preventing the accidental loss of any of its resources, including employees and physical assets. In fulfilling this commitment to protect both people and property, management will provide and maintain a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with industry standards and in compliance with legislative requirements, and will strive to eliminate any foreseeable hazards which may result in property damage, accidents, personal injury, or illness.
 

Accidental loss can be controlled through good management in combination with active employee involvement. Safety is the direct responsibility of all managers, supervisors, and employees.

All management activities will comply with company safety requirements as they relate to the planning, operation, and maintenance of facilities and equipment.

All employees will perform their jobs properly in accordance with established procedures and safe work practices.

Occupational Health & Safety

Petra Holdings Ltd. adhere's to the policies of OH&S to maintain a safe workplace. We are proud to be SECOR Certified ( Small Employer Certificate of Recognition ) by the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA).  Being SECOR Certified allows us to create a proactive safe workplace, to reduce the risks and costs associated with workplace incidents, and to improve the efficiency of the work site. 

Worker Competency & Training

Petra Holdings Ltd. maintains the training of our staff to ensure that they are able to carry out procedures on the jobsite.

Permits & Policies

Petra Holdings Ltd. is proud to have a long lasting relationship with municipalities governing our project locations. By adhering to permit guidelines we can maintain a safe and correct project.
